The Eternal Bond…

After 31 years of married life there comes a phase in where the excitement, thrill is replaced by routine, you become the habit of each other. That fluttering of butterflies in the stomach, the tingling sensation goes lost somewhere. The worst part of this phase is you miss it but you don’t have that energy to rejuvenate the old charm in your relationship. This is the basic calculation of every 31 years plus a married couple. You are happy, satisfied but not thrilled to have each other. When this phase hit Gerard & Geraldine, there was no effect. Every calculation went down to trash. Their song has still remained evergreen.

Gerard & Geraldine; the most adorable and loving couple in the neighbourhood, both were young when they got married and moved to Saudi Arabia then to Australia in St. Clair, Sydney.  Even after 31 year’s successful inning, they can still feel the refreshing aura around them which is the most important thing in today’s leave-it-or-take-it generation.
The 31st anniversary of this adorable couplet was approaching fast; Gerard was planning to the core to make this day grand & memorable for Gerry. He was outlining every tiny detail starting from her favourite flowers to the flavour of cake. Everything was going as per the schedule but then Geraldine decided to go to Chennai to spend time with her dad and siblings during the Christmas break. Like any supporting husband, Gerard helped her throughout her packing and seeing her off to the airport.
When he entered the house, he felt very hollow & empty internally, He just sat in the chair lost in his little Gerry’s world. A day or two passed by he was thinking about a surprise for his companion who was currently in India. His buddy realized the storm within his mind and suggested some site for sending gifts in India. That evening (after a lot of thinking) he googled some websites though he was not quite techno savvy; e-commerce was not a cup of tea for everyone. He finally found the right website which was less-complicated, user-friendly and deliverable to the desired postcodes. He decided three gifts for his lovely better half. He settled for Heart Shaped 25 Red Roses & 1.5 Kg the Black Forest with Teddy and sent it to the Chennai.
The gift was delivered on time as promised. It was the huge surprise for Geraldine, she always knew that her husband has some loose ends in the head but he’ll go this far for their special day! It was a really heart touching moment for her. Everyone in the room was stunned by their special bonding, un-imaginative understanding, true friendship and so much they can’t even express. Just one expression, “Alaaaaas, touch wood…”
PS- After this 1st e-commerce experience Gerard didn’t just stop there he sent another gift through SendPyar for his sister & her mister for their anniversary as well.
